Love This Food Thing is a place to explore our relationship with food, namely friend or foe, and how it affects our behaviour.

We welcome all food stories from disordered to celebratory. In fact, the more diverse, the better.

One thing’s for sure - stories matter. People’s stories matter! It’s in the telling and sharing that we may, in some way, be released.

ABOUT THE HOST,
JEMMA RICHARDS

By day, I’m a voice-over (VO) artist. I’ve worked in studios from spaceship to egg box dimensions. Almost always the sound quality is top notch. Sound quality matters, a lot, to me. It’s one of my things.

I’m the VO who asks constantly for the volume levels to turn up, up, a bit more, too loud, no, up, as years of amplified sound have affected my hearing. I’m sorry I didn’t quite catch that!? I can lip read “like pulling teeth” through a darkened studio window, from a distance.

After suffering with eating disorders for years and now recovered, I wanted to open up the conversation and find out how others manage this fundamental relationship. Because if this area of your life is skewed then so is the rest. It’s never just about food.

That is how Love This Food Thing was created.
